An inexpensive, and easy to replenish force of early period units.

This is the type of army I would create in-game , with the emphasis being the ease of retraining. I also thought that for the danes in the early period, lacking in heavy horse this Danish army must use it's limited light horse for running down routers and chopping down archers. With most of my armies. The Frankish cavalry mercs are added at the end to provide a limited heavy-cav force ready available in the likely warzones of england, france, or germany.

The spear units would form a defensive wall, with peasant archers behind. The two norse archers would be on either end of the peasant archers. The Viking rairders should be set behind the spearwall , ready to run and flank the enemy infantry as it engages. Norse archers should be used to melee when the opportunity arises, and the General's Bodyguard protects the peasant archers or fill any gaps in our infantry line.
