Though capable of storming a city or castle it is not intended to do so. First line: All Archers directly behind them you put the spears. The 4 heavy infanty units directly behind the spears. Let the enemy attack you. They will charge into the archers let the spearmen walk just before the archers to take the hit and killing all cavalry. In the meanwhile you already have led your cavalry behind the enemy lines to take out artillery.
Make sure to put the archers off skirmish. Take out artillery with your cavalry which you can neatly devide in 2 groups (the generals bodyguard ofcourse participates). Consider leaving one xbow and a spear out for 2 more cavalry if you are facing an archer-heavy army. Otherwise you'll be fine (especially cavalry-heavy armies are a piece of cake)
