For when you've just started and don't have access to all your best units. Also note Dwarves are naturally defensive.

The front line creates a 'shield' more or less, use your halberd's defensive wall ability and make sure your best armored/experience warriors form the center, they're protecting your ranged units.(I've made sure they're marked).

The rear flank (side) units are your axemen shock troops and remaining best armored/experience warriors, use the axemen wherever your front line is being most attacked and keep the warriors on the edge so they protect your flank and ranged units.

The center rear units are there to dish it out, use your catapults or ballistas (fill-in catapults) to destroy the enemies general unit if they're holding him back or whoever comes in range, be mindful they don't hit your own troops. Use the crossbows or axe throwers (fill-in crossbowmen) to harass attackers and support the frontline.

This army is good at attacking/defending/ and besieging, but not the best at any one task. Please keep that in mind if you try and use it against an enemy's capital, you'd be better of using a siege focused army for that important a task.
