Mithril Mines Mithril ore is a type of metal that can be obtained through mining in various places throughout the mines of Moria. It can be smelted with coal through the Smithing skill to form a mithril bar, which can then be smithed into various types of weapons and armour. Mining for Mithril may also be a chance to resurrect the last hidden Balrogs at the roots of the mountains in Moria.
