The Bedouins live in Iraq since pre-Islamic times, they served the Lakhmid kingdom, After the Islamic conquest of iraq more Bedouins settled in the Iraqi desert, unlike the rest of the Arabs, the Bedouins preferred to live in the desert, during the late Abbasid army, the caliphate needed low cost army, especially after the caliphate lost most of it's rich provinces, these Bedouin spearmen are very cheap troops, they are happy to serve the caliphs, They wear very light Armor, Unorganized at all but they are very brave men, as well as the Zanj spearmen they fight in the first charge
