Unit Description |
|
|
Though the traditions of Western Warfare remained dominant in Outremer, the Kingdoms of the Franks would not have lasted as long as they had would no inspiration have been taken by the locals. Amongst the adopted tactics and indigenous troops of the East, Turkopoles have proven to be the most valuable. Having first discovered them in the Byzantine Army during the First Crusade, some were brought along with the Crusaders to be amongst the first units established in Outremer, beginning a practice that would outlast the life of the Kingdom of Jerusalem.
