These men are known as dominant professional soldiers of the Middle East. They are Ghulams, bought as slaves at young ages and trained disciplined to become fearsome fighters. Trained only to kill their enemies and to show no mercy, these are the elites of slave warriors. Mostly from Turkish origin, but also Khurasanians, Armenians, Kurds and Greeks were employed. Armed with lances and maces and covered in both mail and lamellar, they are well prepared for to fight.
