These ghazis are veterans from previous battles and normally live their lives by plundering the cities of non-believers, often raiding a city once a year to keep the jihad alive. Historically, most of the ghazis appeared in the Saminid period and up to 20, 00 ghazis took part in Indian campaign lead by Mahmud of Ghazni. These are medium armoured ghazi swordsmen, excellent in melee combat.
