Unit Description |
|
 |
The Kingdoms of the Mediterranean and lands north of the Sahara have turned to Black Africa for spearmen since the times of the Pharaoh. Chiefly through the practice of slavery, but also through the use of mercenaries, the men known as 'Zanji', 'Nubians', or 'Aethiopians', have continued to find service as stalwart and iron-willed spearmen while their warrior-peers have faded or disappeared from war. As their ancestors had done for centuries, these men of Nubia march forth with spear and shield, light of armor, but strong of heart and mind.
