Ridire are mounted Arras, the regional kings, tuadh leaders and their kinsfolk from the smaller kingoms as well as the rich land owners and their elite bodyguards. Irish society requires that a leader prove he is worthy to lead the troops, and as a result men of lower social standing can become generals and commanders if they distinguish themselves in battle. These men have the best equipment available, but are still lightly armed in comparison to the nobles of continental kingdoms.
