Gaelic Archers Gaelic Archers lack the power and range of the Longbow which their neighbours have learnt to apply to great effect. These archers are therefore best employed as skirmishers at the edge of the enemy line, where they can strike at their target's vulnerable flank. When required, they are also capable of engaging their foes with light axes, a tactic which can often catch their opponents offguard.
