Usually wielding 8 foot spears, these troops support Gondor's main infantry and are often placed on the flanks of a formation to protect against cavalry assaults. Similarly equipped as their sword-wielding kinsmen, they wear plate armour, with the symbolic White Tree embossed on the breast-plate. Provided with a heavy oak shield reinforced with steel, they are well defended from arrow fire and close combat. These competent troops won't think twice before laying down their lives in the protection of The White City.
