The soldiers of the divided and militant pashtun tribes strewn about the landscape of Khorasan, they are fierce tribesmen for whom the art of savage war hangs in guiding touch for the whole of their lives. Tribeless for some newly risen blood feud or brought amongst a throng of brethren adventurous in spirit with the scent of plunder and prestige to be gained, these hawk faced rough men of the hills flock down from their high domains as fleet footed for the prospect of mercenary work as merciless plunder of the laiden caravans belonging to those whom they would serve./n/nTheir tools are simple, being the jagged and fearsome looking short sword seen as a prerequisite to manhood amongst the Pashtuns, a small circular shield of iron and wood, and leather jerkins or cuirasses atop their common dusty robes.
