馬庫納標槍手來自非洲部落，手持標槍，以密集隊形作戰。儘管他們盔甲低劣，但作戰極為驍勇，令敵軍喪膽。在曠日持久的宗教戰爭中，馬利庫亞人一直謹慎的保持中立，不參與到教徒們奇異的興趣中，但是，相當一部分的馬利庫亞士兵因為當地政府對他們窮困的有效處理和文化的尊重而自願為城市執行一定量的守衛工作。他們輕裝簡從的作戰方式彌補了很多軍隊偵察和騷擾部隊的不足。
