Sudanese Longbowmen As the composite bow has been held in high regards by the Nomads for centuries, and remained forever useful, so too has the longbow been held in high regards by the Nubians, and remained forever useful. It would seem eternally the weapon of the Makurian's and their ancestors, becoming recognized in the centuries, if not Millennia, prior to Christ and Muhammad's arrival.
